Sri Varahi Amman History

Varaha moorthy’s sakthi was in black colour. He has the appearance like a wild boar and a big stomach. Have six hands. One of his right hand represents the symbol of Varatha(Muthirai). Other hands have sword-like weapons. One of the left hands represents the Apaya Muthra. Other hands have shields and vessels. Sri Thathuvanithi explained about Varahi as he has buffalo as his vehicle. This book also explained the appearance and structure of three more Varahies Thandanatha Varahi, Swapna Varahi, Sutha Varahi.

Thandanatha Varahi is in golden colour. He also has the face of wild boar. His hands have conch, sanka, plough, plunger, danda, angusa, and affection. Both of his hands are in Apaya and Varatha muthira.

Swapna Varahi was in cloud colour. He has three eyes. Head holds the crescent moon. His hands have sword, shield, billhook and affection. Both of his hands are in Apaya and Varatha muthira.

Sutha Varahi was blue in colour. He also appears like wild boar. He has white teeth which were stretched out.

Head holds the crescent moon. His hands have Soolam, Kabalam, Plunger and Snake.
