Meaning: In the morning, I meditate on the lotus-like face of Shri Lalitha Devi. It has lips like the Bimba fruit, a nose adorned with a large pearl nose-ring, long eyes extending to the ears, earrings studded with gems, a gentle smile, and a forehead shining with musk tilaka.

Meaning: In the morning, I worship Shri Lalithambika’s arms, which are like wish-fulfilling creepers. They are adorned with red rings shining on sprout-like fingers, and beautiful with ruby-studded golden bangles and armlets. They hold a sugarcane bow, flower arrows, and an ankus (elephant goad).

Meaning: In the morning, I prostrate before Shri Lalithambika’s lotus feet, which are ever devoted to granting the desires of devotees, and serve as a boat to cross the ocean of Samsara (worldly existence). They are worshipped by Brahma and other deities and are marked with the symbols of lotus, ankus, flag, and Sudarshana chakra.

Meaning: In the morning, I praise the Supreme Shiva, Lalitha Bhavani, whose glory is to be understood through the Upanishads, who is flawlessly compassionate, the cause of the creation, sustenance, and dissolution of the universe, the sovereign of the universe, and beyond the reach of Vedas, words, and mind.
